Clinton Lake and DeWitt County is conveniently located 25 miles from Bloomington-Normal and Decatur, 50 miles from Springfield and Champaign-Urbana, and 150 miles from Chicago and St. Louis. DeWitt County is situated on 405 square miles of land in Central Illinois that was first inhabited by Kickapoo and Pottawatomi Indians. Around 1820, the first settlers began to occupy this region. This tight and scenic course plays tougher than the yardage indicates. The fairways are tree lined, and the medium-sized greens putt true. There is a creek that comes into play on a couple of holes, and the terrain is rolling. The signature hole is 4, a 119-yard, par 3, requiring a shot over water.
