This facility, which was named to (GOLF Magazine's) 1996 list of Silver Medal Resorts, features three regulation eighteen hole courses and a sporty nine hole course. These courses were built on the highest elevated terrain in the local area. The North Course features open fairways, whereas the South Course has narrow fairways. The newly built General Course is the most challenging design. Many people will appreciate the views of three states from several of the tee boxes. This course, which added nine new holes in 1996, has wide open fairways and a few elevated greens. The terrain is rolling, and there are trees that can alter your shots. There is a man-made lake that comes into play a few times on the original layout, and a creek running through the new design that also affects several holes. The signature hole is 18, a 189-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a well-bunkered green.

Illinois Golf Courses Comments:
Woodbine Bend Golf Course opened for play May 2002, and is an eighteen hole, links style track designed by architect Bob Lohman. The course is generally open, and there are few trees lining the rolling fairways. Moguls thick with tall fescue dot the course, and both sand and grass bunkers lay in wait throughout to swallow stray shots.
