Illinois Golf Courses : Kane County
Kane County was formed out of LaSalle County in 1836. The County was named in honor of Elias Kane, United States Senator from Illinois, and the first Secretary of State of Illinois. Kane County is home to 28 municipalities, each one unique in their own way. Together they represent a county poised for growth and ready to meet the challenges of the future head on. The County's vision is for a vibrant, healthy economy in which both businesses and residents can prosper. Agriculture represents an important, although changing part of Kane County's history, culture, landscape or open space, natural resource base and a part of a valued way of life for some of its residents. Consistent with national and state trends the number of farms have been decreasing and the size of farms increasing in Kane County. The decline in farm operations has been in the mid-size group, leaving more of both small and large farms. The value of agricultural products sold has increased. Much of this growth is attributable to nursery and greenhouse crops. The growth in nursery and greenhouse crops is in response to the increasing residential growth and the accompanying demand for landscaping. Let’s see the Illinois Golf Courses in Kane County.
