Illinois Golf Courses Comments:
This rolling course is situated on 215 acres of wooded marshland and includes more than 100 acres of lakes. The fairways vary in width from narrow to generous, and the well-undulating greens were designed to provide a challenge with their subtle breaks. The spirit of the course is captured on hole 5, a 239-yard, par 3, which demands an accurate tee shot and plays over marshland to a wood-lined green.

Illinois Golf Courses Comments:
This course, built in a forest preserve, is one of twelve Audubon Society (Signature Courses) in the United States. The fairways are generously-sized, which is good, since they transition suddenly to very thick native area. Large, undulated fairways afford a wide variety of challenging pin placements. Hole 16, a 578-yard, par 5, features a double fairway bordered by water on the right, and bunkers on the left. The well-protected green is tucked back right, demanding an accurate approach.

This club offers two eighteen hole courses. These courses are strictly for the use of the club members and their guests. Both of these courses have many sand bunkers, several water hazards, and plenty of trees incorporated into their designs. The Red Course, predominantly used by the men, is the longer and more challenging course. The White Course is mainly played by the ladies, but men can play it if they wish. Larry Packard redesigned the White Course in 1966, and Ken Killian and Dick Nugent redesigned the Red Course in the 1970's.
