Peoria County, Illinois combines big city assets with a small town lifestyle and is fast becoming an attractive location for new businesses. It ranks among the top three U.S. counties relative to the ratio between quality of life and cost of living. The County encompasses 629 square miles running 32 miles north/south and 28 miles east/west. The Illinois River, which carries 39 million tons of freight through the County each year, offers boating, fishing and water skiing for its users. This old traditional course is very short, tight, and hilly. The fairways are tree lined, and the greens vary from small to medium in size. The golf course closed for renovation during the first part of 1997. All of the tees have a course rating and a slope for men and ladies.

Coyote Creek Golf Club is an eighteen hole championship course designed by the late Bruce Borland. The rolling fairways are tree lined and lead to generous but challenging greens that are well bunkered. The course is highlighted by numerous lakes and creeks, which feature stone bridges and waterfalls. There is a large practice area with several target greens adjacent to the clubhouse.

This facility offers one eighteen hole course and one nine hole executive course. There are two exciting courses to play at Kellogg. The Eighteen Hole Course is open and fairly straight with a few blind tee shots. The greens are medium in size and very slick. There are ponds and a creek that come into play on six holes. The Executive Course is short and easy to play with open fairways and medium-sized greens. Water comes into play on only one hole. The terrain on both courses is flat -to-hilly and wind can be a major factor.

This course was built on a terrain that varies from flat to rolling. Only one lake comes into play on one hole. The maintenance crew is planting new trees, in addition to the existing oaks, maples and hickory trees. In addition, the rough is scheduled to be cut less often so the fairways will become narrower. Several sand bunkers come into play on the course.

This course has small greens that are medium speed, and generous, tree-lined fairways. There are water hazards that come into play on two holes. The signature hole is 18, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg right fairway that is lined with mature oak trees.

This short course's fairways vary in width, and its terrain is hilly. The greens are small and some are very undulating. One lake and one small pond come into play on two holes. One hole that will give you trouble is 6, a 342-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot over a lake up a dogleg left fairway, then an approach shot to a sloping green. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. This club is open to the public on Monday.

This eighteen hole course is situated on land that was formerly an old family farm. The course, which was cut out of a forest, features elevation changes of up to 140 feet. The front nine is accented by the beauty of indigenous prairie grass and flowers, while the back nine offers a picturesque view of the surrounding area. There are two lakes that come into play on several holes, as well as a creek that is found meandering through the back nine holes.
