Although permanent settlement of the Cass County area did not occur until 1826, the French interacted and traded with the Native American tribes living in the Wabash Valley. Those tribes were the Potawatomie and Miami Indians. A treaty signed in October of 1826 opened much of the north central portion of Indiana to settlement, marking the beginning of the end for tribes in Indiana. In 1838 the last of the Potowatomie Indiana were removed to Kansas in what has become known as The Trail of Death. Cass County has taken a pivotal role in the automobile industry. Many cars were manufactured in Indiana during the early part of the century. Logansport produced two models, the Bendix and the Revere. While the Bendix only made a few vehicles, the Revere operated here from 1917-1926 making more than 2600 automobiles. Only five Reveres are known to be in existence today. This course has water hazards that come into play on two holes. The greens are medium-sized and fast. The most difficult hole is 6, a 225-yard, par 3, requiring an uphill tee shot to a green with a bunker on the right and trees on the left.

This hilly course was carved out of the woods. The signature hole is 12, a 341-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a fairway protected by trees on the left and a water hazard and out-of-bounds stakes on the right, then an approach shot over water to an exceptionally narrow green.

This par 3 course (with one par 4) features small greens that are medium speed. The maintenance crew constantly irrigates the fairways, so they are always plush. The width of the fairways vary from open to narrow.

This course is located in a beautiful, quiet wildlife area where deer and other animals can be seen on a regular basis. The undulating layout is lined with young trees, sand bunkers and various water hazards. The signature hole is 4, a 190-yard, par 3, which requires players to carry three different water hazards and various trees to reach the green.
