This course was built on rolling to hilly terrain. The undulating greens are difficult to read if you have no course knowledge. Heather rough borders the fairways on fourteen holes, and water hazards come into play on five holes. Locals state that this facility's sand bunkers are among the most difficult in the area.

This wooded course was built on rolling terrain, so expect many uneven lies. The front nine is longer than the back nine, but poses less trouble because of its simple design and fewer hazards. The back nine demands some blind tee shots and a few dogleg fairways that can be challenging for first-time visitors. The signature hole is 16, a 486-yard, par 5, featuring a large heather grass bunker in play on the fairway, and requiring an approach shot over a large pond in front of the green.
