Indiana Golf Courses Grant County Grant County was formed in 1831. It was named for Captains Samuel and Moses Grant of Kentucky. From 1828 to 1831, all of the territory now included within the borders of Grant formed a part of Delaware County. The population of Grant at this time was rapidly increasing, and soon the settlers within her borders deemed their numbers sufficient to entitle them to representation in the Legislature. Accordingly they presented to that body a petition to this effect, which was approved February 18, 1831. Grant County, Indiana is located west of major interstate I-69. Grant County has easy access to many metropolitan areas including Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, Cincinnati and Chicago. State Road 18 and 22 are corridors that feature direct access to Interstate 69. One of Grant County’s greatest assets is being home to two world class universities: Taylor University and Indiana Wesleyan University as well as one of the finest campuses of the Community College of Indiana, an Ivy Tech State College and Vincennes University Partnership. Let’s see the Indiana Golf Courses in Grant County.
