This course has a links-style front nine built on flat terrain and a traditional back nine, with hilly dogleg fairways. The course has three ponds that are all encased by stone walls and a creek that comes into play on six holes. The scenery on this course includes a variety of wildlife, wetlands and mature trees.

This fairly flat course is so easy to walk that you can do so in four hours. Since the fairways are relatively close together, the water hazards come into play on fourteen holes. In addition, evergreens, pear and weeping willow trees come into play alongside many holes.

This course features the incorporation of numerous sand bunkers throughout its design. The course places a premium on accuracy, as the greens are small and well protected. Water hazards (creeks, ponds, streams, and lakes) come into play on most holes. Every hole is uniquely design and locals say that you should be prepared to use every club in your bag. The course is open to the public.

Fox Prairie Golf Course features three 9-hole courses playable in three 18-hole combinations. The original 18 were designed by architect William Newcomb, and the course was expanded in 2002 by Steve Frazier. Formerly a dairy farm, the land over which this traditional course plays is gently rolling and many of the holes are tree lined.

The Golf Preserve's nine-hole course has been designed by world-renowned golf course architects Pete Dye and Tim Liddy. The course features four par-4 holes and five par-3 holes ranging from 110 yards to 380 yards in length. The course will challenge golfers with features such as bunkers, three ponds, and bent grass, blue grass and fescue grass fairways. The course presents all of the conditions of a major championship course. The course will prove challenging for players of all skill levels.

Indiana Golf Courses Comments:
A short drive north of Indianapolis, the Gray Eagle Golf Club and Academy will offer 18-holes of championship golf. The par 36 front nine opened for play July 2001 and plays from 2,678 to 3,472-yards. The back nine is scheduled to follow some time in 2002. Designed by R. N. Thompson and Art Kaser, this meadow course features both open and tree-lined fairways with a variety of terrain changes. The medium-sized greens are undulating and roll quite slow.

This course features many homes lining the fairways and out-of-bounds stakes coming into play on every hole. The fairways are flat, but the greens are surrounded by mounds and guarded by sand bunkers on every hole. There are at least two fairway bunkers on every hole, and water hazards come into play on two holes. The greens are fast, and one of them is double-tiered.

This is a unique golf course for Indiana. There are water hazards that come into play on thirteen holes. The wetlands come into play all over the course. The medium-sized greens are undulating, elevated, and some are lower in elevation than the fairways. The course is heavily wooded in some parts and supports wildlife including white tail deer, hawk, beaver, coyote, fox, minks and squirrels. There are more than seventy white sand bunkers incorporated into the course design.

This club added an additional nine hole course in April of 1997, thus enabling a total of three different eighteen hole configurations: The Ridge, The Valley and The Lakes. These courses have a variety of terrain to challenge the most experienced golfers. Water hazards come into play on a few holes, and numerous large trees line the fairways. On the Lakes Course the signature hole is 7, a 174-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to a well-bunkered, peninsula green. The Ironwood Golf Academy is located off the premises.

This course is challenging even though it was built on flat terrain. Trees and water come into play, and there are many sand bunkers. Water comes into play on the back tees on hole 1, and on all the tee shots on hole 7, 8 and 9.

This club has two regulation eighteen hole courses. The North Course has fairways that afford generous landing areas, and its greens are medium in size and speed. The South Course has tree-lined fairways that are somewhat narrow, and its greens are also medium speed. The signature hole on the South Course is 18, a 534-yard, par 5, featuring a dogleg left fairway that plays alongside a huge water hazard. The terrain is flat on both courses, but you may only walk the South Course after 1 PM. Water hazards come into play several times on both courses.

This course is marked by intimidating par 3's and five large lakes that come into play on every hole. The links-style layout features faster-than-normal greens and rolling fairways. A mischievous creek separates a few holes, making shot selection a challenge. There are a few dogleg fairways on the course, including 7, a 480-yard, par 4, which has some bunkers at the turn and requires a targeted approach to a green that is also protected by sand.

This course is the first project for Robert Trent Jones, Jr. in the State of Indiana. The course was built on rolling terrain, so there will be some uneven lies. The fairways are fairly wide off the tee, but they narrow as you approach the green. The greens are small, undulating and fast. The signature hole is 12, a 200-yard, par 3, which has the largest green on the course. This green is very well protected by a water hazard in front, a sand bunker to the right and trees to the left.

This course's front nine is more hilly than its back nine. The White River flows alongside the course and adds to its scenic beauty. One of the most interesting and hazardous features is the heather rough (measuring up to two feet high in places) that comes into play just beyond the standard cut of rough bordering all the fairways. Water hazards (ponds and creeks) come into play on eleven holes.

The signature hole is 8, a 440-yard, par 4, requiring two lengthy uphill shots in order to reach the green in regulation. In addition, there is a sixty-five foot sand bunker on the left side and two crossing bunkers in the middle of the fairway.

This tight course features thick rough defining all its fairways. The greens are very undulating and difficult to read. The signature hole is 5, a 420-yard, par 4, requiring an accurate tee shot up a tree-lined fairway with out-of-bounds stakes lining its left side, then an approach shot over a lake to a well-bunkered green.
