This course's front nine is very narrow, while its back nine affords more generous landing areas in the fairways. Most of the fairways are tree lined, and the terrain is basically flat, but there is some mounding which can cause uneven lies. The small greens vary in undulation and are medium speed. Some of the greens and tees are elevated.

This 18-hole championship track, is a mix of parkland, links, meadowland holes. The front nine is heavily tree-lined and hilly, with raised tees and water coming into play on three holes. The back nine is more open and reminiscent of meadow or linksland. The fairways are a good mix of both flat and rolling terrain, and the large, undulating greens roll quite fast.

This fairly easy course is well known for allowing low handicap golfers to shoot a round of even par. The signature hole is 18, a 365-yard, par 4, requiring an approach shot over water to a small green framed by trees.
