Kid Golf Clubs Kid Golf Clubs are quite an addition to the area of Golf Equipment. I wish they had them available when my kids were growing up. My kids like so many others had to use some of my old clubs and just get by the best they could. They have some really great looking golf clubs for kids on the market today. Some have great colors that kids just seem to really like. There are some kid clubs with cartoons characters on the back of the clubs.

The golf clubs for kids are just plain fun looking and kids love them. Golf should be a fun game and it is very important for kids to keep the game fun for them. It is hard to be having fun when you are using golf clubs made for an adult and you are only 6 years old.

Lets look at why your kids should have the right golf clubs for their size so they can learn the game and keep golf enjoyable. Nike says their goal is to help your kids create passion for the game of golf. Its a great way to put it. Lets also look at how and when to start your kids playing golf.

How to Introduce Golf to Your Kids

I personally started my kids playing golf at a very young age. I gave them a set of plastic golf clubs with plastic golf balls and little flags you can put in the yard. They both used to hit them all over the place, inside and outside of course. I think its a nice way to introduce the game of golf to kids. When should we let them hit with real clubs and balls, well thats a very individual thing. If kids have the right equipment they can start golf at a very young age. Kids can start hitting golf balls at the age of 4, but everyone is different. The most important thing you can do as a parent is to help them with encouragement and dont get instructional. The most important points for young golfers is to get them to hit the ball at a target and hit the ball in the air. Hitting the ball in the air is such an important point to learn and best of all young golfers will get more excitement from this all the while actually learning the basics of the game. Once you have your little golfer hitting the ball in the air then they will be hooked. One of the best ways I showed my kids the game of golf when they were both very young was to take them with me every once in awhile when I played. I usually walked but I would get a cart for those times. I would always let them bring a putter and ball and let them hit some in the hole after everyone was done with a hole. It was a great time for everyone and it taught them more about golf than they would realize. They learned when to talk and when not to talk and many things such as when to stand still, how to act when someone is hitting a ball, how to act on a green, how to handle success and failure. Just be aware that your kids will be watching your every move so act as you would want them to act on the golf course.

Kids Golf Building Blocks

It is important to not get to instructional when helping your little golfer learn the game of golf. If you keep a few main points in mind when helping then your little golfer will be learning but also having fun, and fun is the most important point.
Starting Block
Start with chipping, helping them to keep a downward motion at the point of impact. This is a very important point in the golf swing and can easily be learned from chipping. Then gradually work them up to a full swing. Nothing will be more fun to your little golfer than doing this together as long as you help and not criticize. Dont expect to much from your little golfer, but expect to find fun for both of you. This will be more important than learning the basics of golf. As your little golfer is learning the game, pay the most attention to a few technical basics.
Grip
Show your little golfer how they should hold the golf club. Dont get upset with them if they want to keep holding it the more natural way, just encourage them to keep holding it the proper way. Some glove manufactures now have kid golf gloves with markings on the gloves to help show them where their fingers should be.
Alignment
Keep an eye on your little golfers alignment. Show them how they should be aligned and help them doing this. The easiest way to show them where the ball should be, just keep it simple and every shot right in the middle of their feet, no need to get any more technical than that.
Posture
Show them how they should be standing, not to straight up and not so bent over that they are almost leaning over. Watch them and see how they want to kill every shot, but with the proper posture they will be less inclined for that big hit on every shot.

Is Your Little Golfer Ready For The Course?

This is an important question we must all ask ourselves prior to taking them to the golf course for the first time. Is our little golfer ready for this? They should be ready in all areas. Can your little golfer hit the golf ball well enough for a golf course? Do they know how to behave on a golf course? How about their temper and patience, you must be ready in all areas. We just want them to have fun and if they are not ready they are not going to have any fun. If you have done some of the suggestions mentioned above then your little golfer is probably ready for the golf course. But it is up to you to decide this for them.

These are some simple but very important things that you can do to help your little golfer. Having the right equipment is also very important. The golf manufactures have seen to it that you can have kid golf clubs that are right for them. They are producing kid golf clubs for every size, starting at age 3 and up. US Kids Golf : Junior Golf Clubs
LIGHTER IS BETTER FOR KIDS HERE'S WHY!
Ultralight and Performance Light Kid Golf Clubs help the young golfer develop a smooth swing.
In order to swing a heavy junior club, a kid must manipulate his body and grip to compensate for the weight. The two most common manipulations are:
STEEP BACKSWING. In order to get the leverage needed to draw back a heavy club, a kid must pick up the club abruptly in the backswing, which causes the downswing to be too steep and results in inconsistent shots. This chopping motion is the number one reason the 15 handicap player finds it difficult to improve beyond a certain level. It starts with the take away and ends in years of frustration and lessons. BAD GRIP. Kids must have an overly strong grip to draw the club back. This causes unique swings, at best, and for most people, a poor golfing experience throughout their life.
Summary
Every day, kids are given heavy junior clubs which impede their ability to develop a smooth, natural swing. Ultralight and Performance Light Kid Golf Clubs were created to give kids equipment they can control and swing properly. They're specifically designed to help kids gain more distance, have more fun playing golf and, most importantly, develop a better swing to last their lifetime. 3 Great Models to choose from.
