One of the boundaries on this course is Elk Lake, which comes into play on three holes. The course is well maintained because the grounds crew makes improvements every year. Large knolls and dips in the fairways create five blind approach shots. However, this is a very easy course to walk since the terrain is fairly level.

This resort features four eighteen hole regulation courses, including Tom Weiskopf design that opened in June of 1999.
The Legend Course has exceptional greens and rolling, tree-studded fairways with several water hazards. The course covers seven miles of ground, and carts are obviously required. Many panoramic views can be seen from this course, like so many Michigan golf courses.
The Schuss Mountain Course is a championship course. The greens are extra large, and there are no parallel fairways. The head professional at this course is Roger Gieseck.
The Shanty Creek Course was built on rolling terrain and has undulating greens to test your putting skills. There are many strategically-placed trees that can alter your shot selection.
The Cedar River Course is links-style in comparison to the Legends Course which is not normal for Michigan golf courses, however, there is a good variety of landscaping, including hilly terrain, hardwoods and pines.
