Michigan Golf Courses Berrien County Berrien County is located in the Southwestern most corner of the State. It is bordered on the west by 42 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and on the south by the State of Indiana. Berrien County has a diversified economic base with its manufacturing, agriculture, tourism, many Michigan golf courses and service industries. With the Lake Michigan resource and 306 inland lakes and rivers, the County is a popular tourism destination which is enhanced with the unique farm markets which abound within the area. This course is extremely tight, and every hole has trees that can alter your shots. The greens are slightly sloped and of average speed. The fairways are plush, tree lined and home to a few sand bunkers. There is a creek that comes into play on some holes. Ken Killian and Dick Nugent redesigned this course in 1965.

This nine hole course provides different tee boxes for each hole in order to create the feeling that you're playing twenty-seven different holes. Tee markers are only put out for competitions or outings. Otherwise, the local rule is that the winner of the previous hole gets to decide from where the next hole is played. This is a links-style course with narrow fairways bordered by a standard cut of rough and some trees that can affect your shots. The terrain is rolling, featuring many sand dunes that can affect your shots.

This course is mostly flat, but there is an occasional hill that can cause uneven lies. The tree-lined fairways are generally straightaway, and the elevated greens are undulating and well bunkered. The course doesn't have any water hazards, but there are many several sand bunkers on the course.

This course's greens are undulating and medium to fast in speed. The fairways are well bunkered. Water hazards come into play on many holes, including 16, a 397-yard, par 4, which has a pond sitting on the left edge of the dogleg right fairway. This is a very nice public course.

A water hazard comes into play on only one hole, but there are two greenside bunkers protecting almost every green. The large greens vary in undulation and are fast. The terrain is predominantly flat, but there is a little bit of mounding that can cause an uneven lie or two. All the fairways are tree lined and bordered by a standard cut of rough.
