This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The Red Course features wide open fairways and water hazards coming into play on many holes. The Gold Course was cut through a forest and features narrow fairways. The White Course is known for its sand bunkers and forgiving fairways. The greens on all three courses are medium in size and speed. The entire golf complex was built on rolling terrain.

This course is somewhat similar to the Scottish-links design. The (Detroit Free Press) rated the three finishing holes as the most difficult finishing holes in the State of Michigan. Holes 16, 17, and 18 were designed around a huge lake and play in a clockwise fashion. Overall, this course's fairways vary in undulation.

This facility has two eighteen hole regulation courses. The Old Oaks Course is loaded with obstacles, including sand bunkers, wind and water. The Marsh Oaks Course opened in the spring of 1997. Each fairway is different, some are lined with trees, some are lined with water, some are wide open, and a couple are split. The greens also have good speed. The cart fee is included in the green fees shown for the Marsh Oaks Course.

This club has five nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The club will sometimes rearrange the combinations for tournaments. The courses are normally played as the Red/Gold Course, the Blue/Green Course and the Green/White Course. The Red/Gold combination is the most difficult. Water is most prevalent on the Green Course, but there is considerable water hazards on all five. Sand bunkers are also a big part of the designs, especially around the greens.
