Michigan Golf Courses Comments:
This course is always in great shape. The greens are really difficult because of their fast speed and varying undulations. The fairways were built on rolling terrain, and many are well bunkered. The design also includes flowers, water, pines, hardwoods, and rolling hills with panoramic views.

Season: April 1 thru October 31
Michigan Golf Courses Comments:
This executive course is not as easy as it looks, but it is easy to walk. The somewhat small greens are medium speed, and the frequently watered fairways are average-sized. Four of the fairways are tree lined, plus the terrain is predominantly flat. Water hazards come into play on two holes.
Hidden Valley Resort

Season: April 15 thru October 15
Michigan Golf Courses Comments:
This gently rolling, expertly bunkered course appeals to all levels of play. The course was built on hilly terrain, so expect uneven lies. However, the fairways afford generous landing areas, and the large greens are fast. Two lakes and some man-made ponds come into play at least six times. Carts are mandatory.

Phone: 800-743-7529
Holes: 18
Par: 71
Rating: 70.8
Slope: 130
Status: Resort
Season: April 1 thru November 1
Michigan Golf Courses Comments:
This hilly course bridges over thirty-five acres of unspoiled marshlands, with rolling hills and scenic vistas overlooking dramatic vertical drops. The greens vary in size and putt true, and the fairways are narrow. Marshlands come into play on nearly every hole.
The Pines Michaywe
Address:
1535 Opal Lake Road
Gaylord, MI 49735
Phone: 989-939-8911
Holes: 36
Par: 72
Rating: 73.5
Slope: 129
Status: Public
Season: May 1 thru November 1
Michigan Golf Courses Comments:
Michaywe Hills Golf Club features large, challenging greens. Strategic bunkering and a minimum of water hazards add to the character of this layout. White birch and pine trees line many of the fairways, and they will adversely affect errant tee shots. The entire area is home to an abundance of wildlife, so it's not usual to see deer roaming along the fairways.

This resort features two outstanding eighteen hole courses. The Valley Course is a traditional course with not many bunkers, but tight landing areas.
