This is not a hilly course, but it was built atop two separate plateaus. Since the fairways are fairly wide open, the maintenance crew allows the rough to grow fairly high. On a few holes, maple, pine, and oak trees line the fairways.

This facility is located on an island of the St Lawrence River and offers two eighteen hole courses, the Olde Course and the Lake Course. The Olde Course is a links-style course that was built on rolling hills. Hole 11, a 330-yard, par 4, features an elevated tee box, which overlooks the inland waterway to Canada. Water hazards, which include a number of ponds as well as part of the St. Lawrence River, come into play on at least eight holes. The Lake Course, which opened in 1989, is a fairly short, but very challenging design. It was formerly known as The Lake of the Isles Golf Course. There are sixteen ponds that come into play on sixteen holes. The greens are tea cup-shaped and fast, while the fairways are cut tight and generally tree lined.
