New York Golf Courses Onondaga County Located in the center of New York State, Onondaga County is home to the city of Syracuse. We are within 350 miles of all major cities in the Northeast, conveniently situated at the intersection of Interstate Highways 81 and 90 (NYS Thruway). Local Amtrak and Greyhound terminals are located in the new Regional Transportation Center. Arriving by air brings you in to the newly remodeled Hancock International Airport, while the New York State Barge Canal System provides local connection by boat to the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River. Approximately 60 million people live within a 350-mile radius of Onondaga County. This is a very tight course that is in a wooded area. The greens are fast on this hilly terrain. Water hazards and sand bunkers come into play throughout the course. The signature hole is 18, a long demanding 454-yard, par 4, featuring a sloping green. The ladies' par is actually 75.

This facility offers two regulation eighteen hole courses. One of the two courses is available to the public, the other is private. There are no tee times available on the public course and on the private course they reserve tee times on weekends only. This course is moderately challenging and a great place for the intermediate golfer. The large greens are slightly sloped and the fairways are fairly wide open. The East Course has water hazards that comes into play on two holes.

This course is in excellent condition and plays fair because there are no hidden hazards. Water hazards come into play alongside some of the fairways and around a few of the greens. This course was built on rolling terrain, but about half the holes remain flat. Many of the tee shots are tight and leave little room for spraying the ball.

Locals say this is a definite target course as forty-two acres of water hazards come into play on fourteen holes.
