You can sample award-winning Belgian-style beers, chocolates and cheeses at Brewery Ommegang, the first farmstead brewery built in America over one hundred years ago. Other surprises await on the Otsego County roads. For a truly unique experience watch the historic 1856 water-powered cider press at Fly Creek Cider Mill where America's oldest beverage is still being made the old-fashioned way. Stroll through the unique Mill Store for handcrafted country gifts and take in the aromas of fresh local apples, sweet cider, baked goods, gourmet foods, famous cheeses and ice cream. On your travels keep your eyes open for quaint, one-of-a-kind shops. Have a treasure hunt for antiques, crafts and collectibles as you tour along scenic country roads through antique shopping (hot spots) from Unadilla to Oneonta as well as historic U.S. Route 20 and the charming village of Cherry Valley. Enjoy all of the roads of Cooperstown and Otsego, and be sure to explore the ones less traveled. You never know what you might discover. You might even find some nice New York golf courses.
