The club, built on an old horse farm in rural New York, offers three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. Due to its rural setting, this lush and scenic course has a secluded feel, despite being located only 65 miles north of Manhattan. This is a championship-caliber course that, because of the multiple tees on each hole, can be enjoyed by players of all abilities.

This course is very tough to score well on. Water hazards (two ponds and two streams) come into play on four holes. The signature hole is 14, a 215-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a peninsula green. Riding carts are required on the weekends.

This club doesn't permit outside play on weekends. The course is mostly flat, but there are a couple of hills that can cause uneven lies. There are some very picturesque areas on this course.

The club personnel claim that this is one of the oldest traditional courses in the United States. Its greens are fast and undulating. The signature hole is 9, a 380-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up an extremely narrow fairway, then an approach shot to a two-tiered green. Stephen Kay redesigned two holes in 1985.

This course is owned by a private corporation and is only open to its employees. All fees are arranged through the corporate office and are not available for publication. The course is situated in a wooded area and features an open design with subtly contoured fairways. The greens are diverse in size and shape, and vary in undulation.

Located in the lower Hudson Valley and features an 18-hole championship course designed by William Follet Mitchell. Originally constructed in 1955 as a private course, Lake MacGregor is currently open to the public as a semi-private, daily-fee course. This course has a traditional design, with high rough and tough, rolling, tree-lined fairways. Water comes into play on three holes. The greens are small, undulating, and moderate in speed.

This course was built on top of a mountain, so expect uneven lies. You may walk this course, but the club personnel recommend that you should ride. The wide fairways are open, and the large greens are undulating and easy to three putt. No water hazards come into play, though sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. The only holes without sand bunkers are 6 and 7.

This course can be challenging for all skill levels of golfers, but locals claim it was designed with the beginner in mind. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are average in speed and size. This flat course has many sand bunkers, but no water hazards.
