New York Golf Courses Schenectady County Schenectady County, centrally located between Boston, Niagara Falls, New York City, and Montreal, draws on a wealth of historical landmarks and attractions to keep the attention of any history buff. The Stockade area in downtown Schenectady and Mabee Farms in Glenville are both Colonial Period attractions. Schenectady’s Proctor’s Theater is a Vaudeville era Theater that produce several Off-Broadway plays each year in addition to Orchestral and Comedy acts. Each year, the Schenectady County Airport hosts the Empire State Aeroscience Museum Airshow. Past acts have included the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the U.S.Navy Blue Angels, and even a fly-by by a Stealth Fighter. Schenectady County has many attractions to keep you busy while visiting. From the big lights of Off-Broadway shows at Proctors to the roaring of jets overhead at the annual airshow, Schenectady County is always hopping. Many nice New York golf courses are in the county. This is an extremely scenic course that sits on top of a hill where you can see four different states. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are average-sized. This is an easy course to walk, and beginners will really enjoy playing here.

This time honored facility has an eighteen hole course and a nine hole course that were built on slightly rolling terrain. The East Course has traditionally narrow, tree-lined fairways. The small greens are sloped, firm, fast, and some of them are elevated. There is only one water hazard and it comes into play off the ladies' tee.
