This well-maintained course can be difficult. The fairways are tree lined yet open, and the fast greens are medium-sized. The flat terrain is very easy to walk. Junior rates apply for only nine holes during the weekdays for New York residents.

Almost all of this course's holes are well bunkered. The front nine was built on flat terrain, but the back nine was built on hilly terrain. Water hazards come into play on nine holes.

This course's back nine plays at a championship level where a good score can be obtained through solid course management. Water hazards (three ponds and a creek) come into play on seven holes. The signature hole is 18, a 473-yard, par 5, where the golfer must hit over a grove of maple trees and cross water twice before reaching the undulating green.
