This facility added a third nine, the Lakes Course, in 1998 and now offers three nine hole courses that can be played in three eighteen hole combinations. The Lakes Course plays similar to the original eighteen holes, the Reserve and Woods Courses, however, water is more prevalent on the new layout than the original. There is also a pair of challenging holes on this nine. Hole 5, a 362-yard, par 4, has a lake sitting 220 yards off the tee, and 8, a 154-yard, par 3, plays to an island green. The original eighteen holes are heavily wooded, with water hazards coming into play at least six times. The large greens are fast. Golf Digest rated this course as the 3rd Best Public Course in the state for 1996 and as the 36th best under the category of Americas Top 75 Affordable Courses in their 1996 list of Americas Best Golf Courses Everyone Can Play. This is one of the many special Ohio golf courses.

Ohio Golf Courses Comments:
This course has large and very undulating greens. Water hazards come into play at least six times. This is an excellent course for beginning players, or experienced ones who wish to work on their short game. The ladies par is actually 39.

Ohio Golf Courses Comments:
This course, built on old farm land, is located in the hometown of Pete Dye, Jr. and was originally designed by his father. The back nine opened in 1993 and was designed by P.B. Dye, the grandson of Paul Dye, Sr. The layout is quite hilly and will cause numerous uneven lies. How many times have we heard this from the many Ohio golf courses.

This beautiful course, built on undulating terrain has a very challenging lay out. The fairways, some tree lined and some open, are all well-bunkered, making the approach shots very interesting. The greens are extremely fast and tricky to read. Water hazards come into play on thirteen holes. Locals proclaim that this course has three of the best holes in the State, of the many Ohio golf courses.
