Ohio Golf Courses : Clinton County
Clinton County was founded in 1810 and was named in honor of George Clinton who was vice-president at the time of the countys organization. Clinton had been a delegate to the second Continental Congress. Many of the early settlers were Quakers whose influence made Wilmington the county seat. In 1870 they established Wilmington College. There is much to do in Clinton County and just a few Ohio golf courses to play. The main industries include; metals, printing and publishing, machinery, plumbing castings, gears, bits and automotive tools. Hogs are the agricultural product.
Come celebrate the birthplace of the banana split with a wonderful weekend festival the second weekend of June. This festival features 1950s and 60s collectibles, music, and fun stuff from the poodle skirt and hot rod post-World War II era, and a huge cruise-in featuring muscle cars from the time period. Featured each year on Friday and Saturday night are concerts performed by well-known groups from the 50s or 60s. The banana split was first made in Wilmington at Hazard's Drug Store in 1907.

Ohio Golf Courses Comments:
This course has water hazards coming into play on seven holes. The terrain is flat, not like so many Ohio golf courses, and easy to walk; however, most fairways are tree lined. The signature hole is 14, a 189-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to the green. This club has just recently opened its back nine.
