Ohio Golf Courses Hancock County One of the reasons for the economic growth of Hancock County is the vibrancy of Downtown Findlay. Downtown revitalization has been a priority during the past several years. In addition to general beautification, Downtown Findlay has been the focus of much development. The Kimmel Building, for instance, was recently renovated, providing attractive retail locations on the ground level and offering high-class loft apartments on the upper levels. Building on the historical heritage of Downtown Findlay, plans are in the works to reclassify the downtown into three districts, the Gaslight, Civic and River districts. The purpose of this reclassification is to improve the general feel of Downtown Findlay, as if one is naturally moving from one district to the next, and to attract even more business and mainstream retail and entertainment venues to downtown. A major streetscape campaign is underway which will seek to beautify downtown by adding flowers, trees, planters and (traffic calming devices), for pedestrians. Currently, 26 unique restaurants are located in Downtown Findlay. Plans are to enhance the entertainment opportunities available downtown, including the possibility of a riverfront multiplex theatre and a state-of-the-art business conferencing center. Downtown Findlay will also build a (silicon alley) which would take advantage of existing fiber optic capabilities and attract high-tech businesses to the downtown. Now its time to see all the great Ohio golf courses in Hancock County.
