Hardin County is not known for Ohio golf courses but Hardin County is seen as a manufacturing, agricultural, and educational center because of the presence of a dynamic blend of major manufacturers, a diverse agricultural base, and one of the nations finest private universities. The manufacturing sector is anchored by such employers as International Paper, Precision Strip, Arvin Meritor, and Wilson Sporting Goods. Hardin County also hosts the worlds largest manufacturer of high-tech fin, Robinson Fin Machine, Inc., used in the computer, aviation and aerospace industries. Ohio Northern University is a unique liberal arts university that also houses two of the countries finest post secondary programs in law and pharmacy. Ohio Golf Courses Comments:
This regulation eighteen hole course features a front nine that is located on very hilly terrain which is so common for the many Ohio golf courses with numerous mature trees lining the fairways. The back nine holes are relatively flat and wide open. There are several holes on the front nine that feature elevated greens and tees. The signature hole is 5, a 454-yard, par 5, which features a dogleg right fairway with a creek bisecting it about 200 yards from the tee. To the right of the fairway is dense forest, while the left has an open field. The green is slightly elevated with dense forest behind it. This is one of the nicer public courses among the so many Ohio golf courses in the state.
