Ohio Golf Courses Lawrence County Lawrence County, Ohio borders the Ohio River at the Southern most part of the state. Six architecturally interesting bridges span the Ohio River, connecting Lawrence County with various locations in both Kentucky and West Virginia. Because of these bridges, metropolitan Ashland, KY and Huntington, WV are just minutes away from virtually anywhere in the county. Lawrence County Ohio was organized December 20, 1816, the first Court of Common Pleas was organized March 4, 1817. The first election was held April 7, 1817, with Joseph Davidson, Joel Bowen, and David Spurlock elected county commissioners. Their first meeting was held Monday afternoon, April 21, 1817, at the home of Joseph Davidson in Burlington. Lawrence County's major highways are US Route 52, State Route 7, 243, 775, and 93. The Interstate 64 connection is located in Burlington, just off the 17th Street Bridge. This exit is close proximity to Sams Club, Wal-Mart, Kmart, Bob Evans, Best Western, Grandview Inn, Comfort Inn, and many more places of interest. Lets see the Ohio golf courses in Lawrence County.

Ohio Golf Courses Comments:
This is one of the flat Ohio golf courses with slightly undulating greens are small and difficult to hit in regulation. The tree-lined fairways are narrow, and a water hazard only comes into play once. The signature hole is 5, a 160-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a pond to the green.

Ohio Golf Courses Comments:
This older course has several mature pine trees lining its fairways. The well-bunkered greens are slightly sloped and often difficult to read. Water hazards come into play on a couple of holes, and the wind can sometimes be a major factor. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round. This is another one of the many Ohio golf courses that tries to stay open all year.
