This course, named for the huge hill located on hole 1, is well-maintained. Even though the fairways are tree lined, they still afford generous landing areas. Water hazards (ponds and creeks) come into play on twelve holes. The greens vary in size, speed, and undulation. The fairways like so many Ohio golf courses are rolling and forgiving with generous out-of-bounds areas. The signature hole is 12, a 548-yard, par 5, featuring a slight dogleg fairway. A seven-acre lake lines the right of the hole and a large fairway bunker comes into play on approach shots to the green.

The signature hole is 16, a 424-yard, par 4, requiring two lengthy shots to reach the green in regulation. Golf Digest rated this as the 13th Best in State of Ohio golf courses for 1995-96, and the 14th best in 1997-98. Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva redesigned this course in 1986.
