In simple terms, they reduce industrial diamonds into fine crystal granules and mix them with a proprietary solution to form a compound. Performance Testing

They were able to take the Cleveland Wedge, the Odyssey Wedge and the TaylorMade Wedge which represent the most popular clubs on tour today, and place them on a robotic testing machine, set them for a specific launch and speed angle and hit them to a green. The results showed that all of the wedges stopped the ball close to the pin, when they were brand new.

The robot then hit the Cleveland, TaylorMade and Odyssey Wedges fifty to one hundred times to simulate a used club by the average golfer (equivalent to approximately five rounds of golf). Then the same roll test was conducted to determine how the new vs. used clubs affected performance. The used competitors' clubs increased the average roll by 97%. In other words after only 50 to 100 hits, golf's leading wedges begin to lose their ability to hold the green.

As for the PureSpin, after being put on the robot, not for just 100 hits, but 1,000 hits, the PureSpin on average rolled only 2' 4" inches after hitting the green, staying almost four times closer to the pin than golf's leading wedges.
