Rules Of Golf. Golf is a game where integrity is valued above all and fairness is omnipresent. Golf rules exist to help players to remain true to the game, true to their opponents and true to themselves. They do not exist as they do in most other sports to ensure competitors don't cheat. There is an important distinction there. It is utterly common to hear of a golfer competing in a major championship that has called a rules violation on himself, even though no one else could possibly have seen it. The penalty for the infraction may have caused him to lose the tournament or cost him thousands of pounds in potential prize money. Now that is integrity and that exactly is what the game of golf is all about.

This is a game where we the players enforce the rules, not only on others but many times on ourselves. Is there another game like this anywhere. I’m so proud of our game when I see someone I’m playing with call an infraction to the rules of golf on themselves. This shows me more about that player than any great shots they might make. I love this game of golf and I play by the rules of golf. It is very easy to say I just did not know the rule and I played it wrong. I would like everyone to not only know the rules of golf but also to play the rules of golf, so we have simplified the 34 golf rules so you can understand the golf rules and be playing by them.
